The Public Library Association is hosting this year’s conference in Indianapolis, from March 11th through the 15th. With so many sessions, exhibitors and events, how can you keep track of it all? Never fear, the Boopsie PLA app has your back! Just download the PLA 2014 App from your app store or visit pla.boopsie.com on your smartphone or tablet to quickly launch the app download.

The PLA 2014 App allows attendees to view the conference schedule at a glance, so they can easily find out when the exhibits are open on any day of the conference, or to get an overall sense of the timing of events.

Finding Sessions Quickly
The PLA Sessions tab lists all sessions chronologically. To find a specific event, you can perform a Smart Prefix search to narrow down your results; just type the first few letters of each word you are looking for. Once an event is selected, you can quickly find out more about the speaker(s), the date and time of the event, as well as read a brief description of the session. If you want to save the event, select “Add to Agenda” to store the event in an easily accessible agenda. If you accidentally added an item to your agenda, you can always tap the “Remove from Agenda” button. To access your agenda, simply select “My Sessions Plan” from the Main Menu.

Looking for Speakers
The other option to find sessions is to search by Speaker. The Speakers tab will give you a brief bit of information about each speaker and tells you what session they are speaking in. So if you know who you want to hear, but you can’t remember what event they are speaking at, you can find them through here.

Find an Exhibitor
Of course, we’ve also included a list of all exhibitors as well. Search alphabetically, or perform another Smart Prefix search to quickly find an exhibitor. Select an exhibitor to access their booth number, phone number, email address, website and a brief description of the company. You can add the exhibitor to your plan, so you can remember to stop by their booth. To access your list of saved exhibitors, just select the “My Exhibits Plan” from the Main Menu.

We didn’t forget how important a role social media can play at these conferences, that’s why we included a quick link to a Twitter hashtag search for all things #pla2014 related. The hashtag is the easiest way to keep up with event changes during the conference, or to see what fun events are being planned. You can also access the Public Library Association Facebook page for updates too.

There’s also a quick link to the weather in Indianapolis, so you don’t get caught unprepared before leaving the conference, or your lodgings.
