Boopsie’s CEO, Tony Medrano, a member of the Operation Homefront California Board of Advisors, has helped put together a deal with Uber offering free rides for active military personnel and veterans in San Diego, San Francisco and Sacramento during Mardi Gras. Service members only need a valid ID and a promotion code (SAFEMARDIGRAS) when they sign up for their rides.
“The great folks at Uber are doing this to ensure that those who defend our freedom can enjoy a night out at Mardi Gras without worrying about drinking and driving,” said Jack Chirrick, Executive Director of Operation Homefront California.
This partnership allows military personnel to participate and enjoy their city’s Mardi Gras celebrations with friends and family while remaining safe on their way home.
Military personnel can take advantage of the $30 free ride on March 4 by either signing up at http://www.uber.com/GO/SAFEMARDIGRAS or by downloading the mobile application on their smartphone and entering in the promo code SAFEMARDIGRAS.
