“We are excited to launch this new integrated service with Boopsie,” says Larry Wilkner, Publisher, ProQuest. “The seamless integration of eLibrary with Boopsie’s mobile app platform for libraries enables libraries to better serve their patrons with easy-to-use mobile access of their subscription to all of the rich content available in ProQuest’s eLibrary.”
eLibrary by ProQuest
eLibrary provides access to over 2,500 full-text titles and over 7 million images via 8 different media types: magazines, newspapers, books, maps, pictures, TV & radio show transcripts, audio/video and weblinks. While the eLibrary service is mainly delivered to schools (K-12 and postsecondary), there is also a public library edition as well.
eLibrary helps make complex searching easier with research topic pages, timeline tools, highlight and look up tools, as well as various searching techniques, including topic, reference and standards (like Common Core State Standards).
About the Integration with Boopsie
Once the integration is live, eLibrary is easily accessible to your patrons through your Boopsie library app. The Ela Area Public Library app is the first library to go live with ProQuest’s eLibrary. To access the integration, app users select “Resources” from the main menu. Once they reach the Resources menu, users select the ProQuest eLibrary channel. Users can now search Ela Area’s eLibrary subscription, from their library’s mobile app, no matter where they are!
