What is 3M Cloud Library?
3M Cloud Library’s parent company is a pretty popular company; in fact you probably have some of their materials on your desk right now. The 3M Company manufactures everything from Post-It Notes to Scotch Tape to Hockey Grip Tape and now has a corner on the eBook App market.

How the 3M Cloud Library Integration Works
The 3M Cloud Library App is available on your Windows desktop, Android and Apple devices. With their Bookmark feature, users can change devices without having to lose their place in their books.
Your Patrons will be able to easily search Your Library’s 3M Cloud Library Holdings while in Your Library App. After they select an eBook, they can easily download the title from the 3M Cloud Library Integration and immediately launch the app.

Benefits of a 3M Cloud Library Integration
3M Cloud Library has partnered with several publishers including HarperCollins, Random House and Penguin Group to provide your library with popular titles immediately.
Since Boopsie began offering the 3M Cloud Library Integration in September 2013, there have been 592 checkouts performed from the app and 1,321 unique users among 8 participating libraries.

The Frisco Public Library has their 3M Cloud Library Integration under the “Downloads” tab.

Select the “3M” option from the Downloads Menu, and you will be shown the 3M Cloud Library Integration Page.

Select either “eBooks” or “PDFs” to browse Frisco Public Library’s 3M Cloud Library Holdings.

After you select a title, you will be shown the item details page, where you can learn more about the eBook.

If you want to download the eBook you have selected, you will prompted to log into your library account. After you download the app, you will have to register your device; it’s as simple as selecting your state, the library you are a member of and then inputting your library card number and PIN. In order to use the app, you will have to agree to their End-User Agreement.

Once inside the 3M Cloud Library Integration, you are directed to Your Library’s “Shelves” tab. Here you can browse through new titles and other eBooks that are offered in the library’s holdings.

The “Categories” tab allows you to browse by subject, while the “Search” tab allows you to search by title.

The final tab, “My Books”, allows users to view what eBooks they are currently reading, which items they have placed a hold on and their User Data.

The User Data section covers: their wish list (items that aren’t currently in their library’s collection), their message center and their account profile information. If you share your smartphone or tablet with another card member, you can select “Account Profile” and select either “Change Library Identification” or “Log Out Account” to be logged out of your account.

To read your downloaded eBook, simply select the book cover from your “Currently Reading” list.

Add the 3M Cloud Library Integration to Your Library App
Since the 3M Cloud Library Integration is an app to app integration, you will need to contact your Account Manager to add it to Your Library App. There may be an additional charge to add the 3M Cloud Library Integration to your contract.
