We Build Library-Branded Apps for Libraries that Deliver New Users and Increase Circulation
We Build Apps for Libraries That Work With All ILS Providers
We build apps that work with all ILS providers. So whether your library is running Agent Verso or WebOPAC, we’ve got you covered! If you don’t see your ILS in the list, email us and we’ll work with you to build a solution.
We Build Apps for Libraries That Work on All Major Platforms
Our apps are available on all major platforms, including Android, BlackBerry, iOS (Apple products such as the iPhone, iPad and iPod), Kindle Fire, Windows 8 Tablets, Windows Mobile and Windows Phone 8. That means Your Library App will be available to all patrons, not just those with an iPhone or an Android.
We Build Apps for Libraries That Can Be Customized to Match the Library’s Branding
|Santa Clara County Library District App||Kent Free Library App|
|You can add links to allow your patrons to pay their fines online, or provide helpful tips for those who are new to eBooks.||Change the menu to fit Your Library’s Style!|
|San Diego Public Library App||Los Angeles Public Library App|
|Or pick your color scheme to compliment Your Library Logo.||Add background images that make your app pop! Or allow patrons to check out their books, right from the app!|
We Build Apps for Libraries That Extend Beyond Your Library Catalog
60% of the content being accessed via Boopsie apps is non-cataloged data and resources. We offer several app-to-app integrations that help increase the ROI for your subscriptions. For instance, Frisco Public Library acquired 191 new users via their 3M Cloud Library Integration; that’s 39% of their user acquisition growth!
We can also add your social media sites to your app. Send us your iCal feeds and we can integrate them into your app to ensure your patrons have easy access to your upcoming events. You can also provide us with third-party subscription databases for us to add to your app (ie, ProQuest, World Book and more).
We Build Apps for Libraries That Allow Book Check-Outs and Searches With A Scan of A Barcode
With Boopsie’s BookLook Mobile™ you can scan any book’s bar code to see if the book is available at Your Local Library. BookLook uses the book’s ISBN to search Your Library catalog; if the book is available, you can put the item on hold right then! BookLook helps you save money, instead of purchasing books, you can quickly see if your library has the item in their collection.
Boopsie BookCheck™ allows your patrons to use their smartphone or tablet’s camera to check out their items. Since Boopsie integrates with Your ILS, BookCheck can manage your checkouts. If Your Library doesn’t use security gates, patrons simply log-in to their accounts, scan the items they want to check out and proceed out the doors. If you do use either RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) or EM (Electromagnetic) Detection, your patrons will still be able to use BookCheck, but they will need access to a desensitizer before leaving the building.
We Build Apps for Libraries That Can Provide Your Patrons With a Virtual Library Card
You can add a virtual library card to your patron’s account to enable them easy access to their library card. After patrons log-in to their account, they will see an option to select their library card. Now they can use their smartphone or tablet as a library card. The virtual library card can either replace carrying an actual card or as a supplement, especially for those unfortunate days when they forgot it at home.
We Build Apps for Libraries That Help Engage Multilingual Communities
Boopsie offers Multilingual Capabilities to their library app customers, so serving your diverse community is even easier. Multilingual Capabilities allow non-English speaking patrons to access their library’s mobile services in their native language. Several libraries already provide multilingual access to their content, like the Arapahoe Library District in Colorado (Spanish and Russian), Multnomah County Library in Oregon (Spanish, Vietnamese, Russian and Chinese) and the Pasadena Public Library in Texas (Spanish).
We Build Apps for Libraries That Help You Track App Usage
With Boopsie’s App Usage Reports, and the soon to be released Boopsie Analytics, you can keep up with your library app usage. Want to find out how many unique users access your OneClickdigital integration? Curious about how many users you had for the month? You can find that information and more in your Usage Reports. Authorized librarians can access their usage stats to help present the information during their board meetings. No personally identifiable information is preserved or made viewable in the reports.
We Build Apps for Libraries and Provide Ongoing Customer Service and App Maintenance
Our Customer Service Team will walk with you through the launch process of creating your app, as well as after your app has been launched. If you have any questions, you can always contact your customer service representative.
After your app is launched, we continue to work with Your Library’s needs. That means if your library’s hours change, or you need to add/remove features, most changes can be done without having to resubmit your app to the app store.
