Boopsie growth initiatives gain increased momentum with addition of venture and international expertise.
Sunnyvale, CA – January 14, 2014 – Boopsie for Libraries, the leading mobile platform for libraries worldwide, announced the addition of Silicon Valley Veteran Sameet Mehta to its Advisory Board.
“Sameet’s experience with international expansion and access to capital are great additions to our team,” says Tony Medrano, CEO of Boopsie for Libraries. “Not only does Sameet bring experience doing big technology deals while he was at Cisco, he has also helped small companies expand in India as an early stage technology investor and advisor.”
Sameet S. Mehta is currently a Founding General Partner at Granite Hill Capital Partners, a Venture Capital fund that specializes in investments for technology companies in Silicon Valley as well as growth capital to companies in India. Prior to working with Granite Hill, Sameet founded a $100 million internal venture capital organization in India with Cisco.
“Boopsie is the technology and market leader in a rapidly growing space,” says Mr. Mehta. “Their new team, focus on operational efficiency and innovative growth strategy into new markets make it an exciting time to join as an advisor.”
Prior to focusing on venture and international expansion at Cisco and Granite Hill, Sameet was an investment banker at Lehman Brothers, Inc where he focused mostly on technology ventures. Sameet received a BSE in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University and an MBA from Stanford University.
Sameet’s experience with international investments and his entrepreneurial spirit will be a huge asset to Boopsie’s expansion efforts and add even more strength to Boopsie’s business team. Sameet currently serves on the Board of Directors of Sentinel Labs, nCrypted Cloud and Attero, Ltc.
