Boopsie On the Road

We had a lot of fun on the road this summer! We attended 4 conferences over the summer, and met a lot of cool librarians and library staff members (including some of you!). We traveled from Vancouver for the SLA Conference, to Albany for Empire Collaborations, then off to ALA Annual in Las Vegas and rounded up the tour in San Antonio for AALL.
We have several great conferences lined up for the fall. Bryan and Megan will be attending CALIFA’s Vendor Fair on August 28, 2014. In September, Megan will be heading up to Tacoma for the ARSL conference. In October, we’ll be heading down to Monterey for the Internet Librarian conference.
We hope to see you there!

Looking for Library Grants?

Several libraries have received funds to help them pay for their mobile apps. Some receive funds from their Friends of the Library groups, while other receive funds from grants and government funds. One of our libraries was able to fund their app with the help of a grant from a local foundation, where Jeopardy Champion, Brad Rutter, donated some of his winnings.
We’ve rounded up a few upcoming grants for this email. There is a great blog called Library Grants that lists upcoming and ongoing grants, that would work as another great resource! Of course, we also have more information available on our website.

Provide Your Community with Talented Instructors, Online or At Home

Boopsie continues to branch into educational services by providing libraries with free access to TakeLessons through Boopsie’s mobile apps for libraries. With the TakeLessons integration, library app users will be able to search for lessons, right in their library’s mobile app! To learn more about the partnership, read our press release.
