Hello There! Rumor has it that you are an INNOVATOR! Boopsie is here to help.
To better support our clients, each month we will send suggestions about how you can mobilize your library, increase circulation, reach new patrons, improve their experience with your library, and help you get recognized as a thought leader among librarians. We will make it easy for you to learn about Your Library App (powered by Boopsie®). Have an idea? Need some help?Email our CEO.
Boopsie’s STAR Program helps Your Library App Shine!
2013 is off to such a great start at Boopsie with help from our new STAR Program which enables your Boopsie app to integrate with other popular library services – including AudioBooks and eBooks – to increase circulation, library use and your influence in your unique community. Boopsie mobilizes great services like 3M Cloud, OneClickdigital, Wowbrary and CREDO making them easier to use and easier to access. Are you on a mobile device? Download the app from Santa Clara County Library and see what they are doing with their research channel. Are you a Library Vendor? Explore how the Boopsie STAR Program can help you better serve libraries and their patrons.
Voilà! Multilingual patrons are served! Foster diverse community outreach with one click.
We know libraries strive to be trusted resources serving their diverse communities. That’s why we enable your library to offer its app in multiple languages! Check out what Multnomah County Library and Arapahoe Library District are doing. Then, ask our Sales Team to help you better serve the diverse language needs of your community.
Tip of the Month: RedirectOne of the easiest ways to get your app in the hands of your patrons is to set up a “redirect” on your website which will sense when a user is on a mobile phone and switch automatically to a mobile friendly version. Doing so ensures that when patrons reach your website on a mobile device, they are instantly redirected to the appropriate version of your Boopsie app for their mobile device. That way, they can download it for free and stay connected to you with just one click! If you are a webmaster, visit detectmobilebrowers.com for website scripts. Email us with questions.
Special Collections Come AliveDid you know that with Boopsie, it’s easy to make special collections more accessible for patrons? Browsing Los Angeles Public Library’s Photo Collection of over 89,000 images is best done online. Using Boopsie’s Smart Prefix search functionality and integrating your app with CONTENTdm improves the experience for patrons when they search for images. To learn more about options for integrating your special collections with your mobile app, contact Sam Nickell or James Gowers on our Sales Team.
Shining STAR: Tutor.comDid you know that 2/3 of library app usage is for non-catalog services? That’s why each month we’ll profile one of our STAR partners who can integrate with your Boopsie app. Students looking for Live Homework Help can now connect to a Tutor.com tutor through your Boopsie app! There, they can take advantage of the popular Tutor.com To Go iOS app (and an HTML5 classroom that’s compatible with any mobile device). 96% of Tutor.com users recommend Tutor.com to friends and 90% say it’s helped improve their grades.

See You On the Road…We’ve had a busy Spring, most recently designing library conference apps for, and exhibiting at, CLA in Winnipeg and NJLA in Atlantic City. We just returned from Chicago where we had the chance to meet many of you at ALA. We’re working on our calendar for the Fall. If you are part of an industry association, let us know how we can help. We look forward to seeing you at the next industry event and helping you Mobilize Your Library with an app from Boopsie!
