Your Palm Treo must be running OS version 5.4 or greater.
From your Palm OS Browser
1) Goto http://boopsie.com
2) When accessed from the phone's browser, the above URL will detect your operating
system and offer you the correct download.
3) When prompted, download and install the application for the Palm OS.
Note: to setup Boopsie to work more efficiently, please see the Hot Tip! below.
First Time Use
1) Navigate to the Boopsie icon and launch the application

2) The first time you run Boopsie, you will be prompted with the Signup agreement. Select 'OK' to continue.
The signup agreement just states that you are responsible for your data services bill. Boopsie uses your data plan
to access our search engine and to launch the Browser.

3) You will then see a 'Sending' progress message.
4) If an error occurs (possibly network coverage or other error), you will see an error message after the 'Sending' progress dialog.
You should select 'Cancel' from the menu and try to run Boopsie again later.
5) If registration is successful, The main menu should then appear

General Use
1) After the main menu appears, you may start to use Boopsie
2) The main menu is multi-prefix searchable - just like each channel. You must choose a channel first, then issue a search.
3) For example, to search Wikipedia, type 'w' to the right of the . You'll see the menu narrow down to those
channels with 'w' as a first letter.

4) Arrow down or click on Wikipedia

5) You may now start entering your search term(s). For example, to find 'George C Scott', you might type 'ge c sc'. After each character
you enter, you will see the list narrow down your choices.

6) Select 'George C Scott' and Boopsie will launch the Blazer Browser with the appropriate Wikipedia page.

Hot Tip!
Since Boopsie launches the Palm Blazer Browser, you need to navigate back to Boopsie for additional searches.
We like to change the left side soft button to launch Boopsie. The button will help you navigate more easily when
Boopsie is running. To launch Boopsie with the left soft key:
1) Goto the Palm Home screen
2) Select Preferences
3) Navigate down to the Personal section and select Buttons

4) Navigate down to Press + Hold Side button
5) Select Boopsie from the list and then select Done.
While you are running Boopsie, the tapping the left side key will do 3 different things depending upon
what area of the screen has focus:
1) If the list of items has focus, tapping the left side key will give the text input area focus
2) If the text input area has focus and there are characters in the input area, tapping the left side key will
clear the text from the input area
3) If the text area has focus and there are no characters, tapping the left side key will navigate you to your
Home menu
Actions Menu
The application menu may be displayed by pressing the Menu button or selecting Boopsie from the title bar.

Search : Selecting this option will take you to your 'Home' menu. The default 'Home' menu is the top-level menu
listing all channels that Boopsie may search.
Top Menu : Regardless of what your homepage is set to, this will take you to the top-level
Boopsie channel menu.
Home - use current : Selecting this from any page will make that page your default 'Home' page. So, if you prefer to
have Wikipedia as your 'Home' page, navigate to the Wikipedia channel and select 'Home - Use Current'; your homepage is
then changed to the Wikipedia search page.
Home - use default : Reset your home page to the top-level Boopsie channel menu.
Check for updates : Not enabled at this time. Check the website for updates.
Exit : Exit the application.
Options Menu
There are two choices Preferences or About. About shows the current version of the software. The Preferences menu
allows you to change the Browser identifer and the Network Timeout. The browser identifier is set
to BLZ5 as the default. If you know enough about changing this to another browser, then Boopsie should
launch the other browser when you select a destination target. Otherwise, leave this set to BLZ5.
Note: On the Samsung i500, if you are using the Novarra browser, change this code to 'NOVR'.
Network Timeout is the amount of time to keep the connection open to the Boopsie Server. Typically, you
won't modify this. Extending this value will allow the network to stay 'open' during non-use times of
the application. Reducing this may cause the application to resond a bit slower when you first launch
Boopsie.
