New technology and distribution partnership to help libraries extend their services.
Sunnyvale, CA – January 24, 2014 – Boopsie, the leading mobile solution for libraries worldwide, today announced a partnership with Credo, the industry leader for information skills solutions. The partnership will provide library users with seamless access to Credo resources via Boopsie’s mobile apps for libraries. For example, Virginia State library app users who are physically in the state of Virginia can instantly access Credo resources via a simple single sign-on delivered via a newly launched technical integration for geo-location servicing. If library app users are out of the state, they can simply log into their library app to continue using the service.
Credo and Boopsie will work with libraries to launch customized library-branded apps with Credo’s Literati solution to help libraries acquire more users and drive greater usage of their Credo subscriptions.
“We are thrilled to partner with Boopsie,” said Mike Sweet, Credo’s CEO. “Together, we can provide broader access to Credo’s trusted content, and help libraries better utilize their limited resources by delivering Credo services through Boopsie’s easy-to-use, library-branded native mobile apps.”
Credo now offers subscribers end-user access to its Online Reference Service through a new mobile experience, optimized for mobile devices and developed in collaboration with Boopsie.
“Credo has a history of developing cutting edge information solutions that serve libraries’ evolving needs,” said Tony Medrano, Boopsie’s CEO. “We are excited to partner with them to help increase Literati usage on tablets and smartphones, and to leverage Credo’s position as a leader in academic libraries.”
